The location of Rothaus hotel is fantastic, just minutes away from the main attractions. Breakfast offered a nice variety including fresh bread, cold meats, and cheeses that got my day off to a great start. The staff were quite accommodating with requests. The bathrooms in the room were quite outdated, resembling fixtures from the 80s and lacking proper maintenance. It was annoying to deal with fluctuating shower temperatures, made washing a challenge. Noise from the street made it difficult to get a good night's sleep, particularly on weekends when the nightlife was lively. The hotel's charm is clear, but some upgrades would enhance the guest experience significantly.

Fairly clean venue with sensational breakfasts and street views. Location - unbeatable, adjacent to the rail station, the waterfront and old town and the chapel bridge and the lucern centre. Also, near City center. Appetising food in the attached restaurant.

Peruvian restaurant steals the show
I woke up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and an inviting breakfast spread. The hotel's blend of history and the excellent Peruvian restaurant.
Our room faced a busy street was good. The shower temperature was inconsistent, a bit inconvenient.

The rooms were newly renovated.
We paid extra for a 4 person suite for our 2 children. The room was the same as my parents 2 person but with the pull out bed made up. Didnt seem worth the extra money,

The location!
A very basic breakfast early in the morning. There was nothing for the "normal" guests while the group was there. We were not told about this at check-in.

Extremely friendly hotel staff. The house offers little comfort, but for business travellers or those travelling alone it is ideal with its location on the edge of the old town.
The Internet network is somewhat unstable
